Me-Made-May '14

I signed up for the MMM'14 Challenge.  I endeavor to wear clothes that I made each day for the month of May and blog about it.  Well, I'm off to a good start...

First outfit - I started the month wearing a Short-Sleeve, Aztec Print Dress with Cut out Neckline.

This is my version of Carolina Herrera's dress.
Pattern Review Butterick 5852 to the 2nd power.  I used this patter once before.

The instructions were very easy to follow.  This pattern has the same design lines as the Carolina Herrera dress. I love the cut-out on the bodice.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope?  Yes, it did.  It looked more like my inspiration dress.  I rearranged the contrast fabrics to resemble my inspiration.

What fabric did you use? I used a polyester fabric from Hancock Fabrics.
I also used a black ponte knit remnant from my stash for the contrast.  The dress is lined with black fabric also from my stash.

Would you sew this again?  I think two is enough for now.  But you never know.

Anybody else participating in the MMM'14 Challenge?
