Timeless Threads Fashion Show

I was invited to the 42nd annual scholarship benefit fashion show and luncheon held by Prince George's County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  I've attended this event before with my daughter when she was a recipient many moons ago. This year I attended with my extended family.

The Make a Garment a Month March theme is Mad March Make a Dress...something.  So, I decided to make myself a floral, cold-shoulder sheath to wear to the fashion show.

The fabric is a thick ponte-knit.  I made a beautiful design "mistake" when I cut the fabric out.  I think the finished project is great regardless!  Can you tell what it is?

  1. Only if you look closely. If you didn't say it I wouldn't have noticed.

    1. Hahaha I don't think anyone noticed when they saw me. If they did, they were very polite ;)

  2. Beautiful dress and I did notice that you 'chose' to have the flowers growing so you could see them when looking down ;-)

  3. I had to really stare at it to see what you were talking about. LOL. Mistakes do happen. I've done the same thing and later caught myself. Sometime you just have to roll with it! But you're right it's still beautiful...and you ROCKED IT!!!

    1. I hadn't realized it until I cut the whole dress out. LOL. At that point I knew there was no turning back. I still love how it came out.

  4. Wow! It’s a gorgeous dress! Just absolutely beautiful on you! Yes I saw the design mistake right away (flowers are upside down!) but it does NOT take away from the beauty of this dress!!
